Convert documents via Office and SharePoint Bridges

Versatile conversion options with webPDF
webPDF can convert many formats. For example, you can conveniently convert HTML pages and websites into PDF documents. In addition, webPDF supports email conversion, so Outlook (MSG) and MIME (EML) emails can be converted to PDF documents.
There is also a third option: conversion directly via Office and SharePoint using so-called bridges.
Improve file conversion quality with Office Bridge
An Office Bridge for local conversion allows improved conversion quality for file formats such as doc, xls, ppt, docx, xlsx, and pptx. The requirement is a local Microsoft Office installation on the same system where webPDF is installed.
With the bridge, the native Office applications are used during conversion. This usually leads to output documents that are closer to the original source files.
Conversion with SharePoint Bridge
In addition to an Office Bridge, SharePoint can be used as a remote converter.
Besides converting Word documents via the integrated Outside In converter, webPDF can connect to Microsoft SharePoint (version 2010 and later). Through this connection, Word documents can also be converted via SharePoint.
If a SharePoint installation is available in your organization, it can be integrated into webPDF via the SharePoint Bridge. Then doc and docx files can be converted using Word Automation Services (WAS).

Please review license terms
Before using Microsoft Office with webPDF and the Office Bridge, you must clarify licensing terms. Check Microsoft's license conditions for installing and running Office on a server and ensure your license permits server usage.
The Office Bridge in webPDF is a technical integration and does not replace licensing requirements.
